WHAT IS THE sDESIGN
AND PURPOSE FOR ETHNIC DIVERSITY?
Allow me draw this pic in your mind .Can you see that
beautiful item that you love so dearly? I do not know what it is ,does it has
many colours?for those who love chains made of breads of different colours you
can concur with me that every colour in each bread play a very significant role
as far as the beauty of chain is concern.
If my memory serves me right, don’t crucify me if am wrong,
my form one teacher of business studies taught
me specialization and division of labor,my emphasis is on specialization .The
fact has is that when producer specialize on a product the aftermath is perfect!
Why is this so? There are myriad reasons behind this but I do not want to be
glued here
We have different tribes that have different specializations
in our country and this is very resourceful to us and makes our country
beautiful. This is to mean every tribe is very important and has a very
significant role to play in the wholesomeness of our country. You can imagine
our country without maasai’s, the elegance of their calture, not to mention
Kalenjins; the pride of Kenya when it
comes to athletics. We are desperately in need of one another for peaceful and
mutual coexistence.
One of my vocation I happened to spent three months in Nairobi.
How nice was it to see the perfect cooperation of people from Kangemi!Without
looking at specific details which tribe one comes from, they lived in peace and
harmony.” Dereva mat”(bus driver)is a Gikuyu, conductor a kisii and definitely
the passengers from different tribes, that is the beauty I use to enjoy every
day. Around my place of residence,’ mama mboga’(green grocer attendant ) is a
luhya, shopkeeper a Meru and my immediate neighbor a Pokomo, life was awesome!
When I was temporaly out of cash I could comfortably access needed items on
credit without tribal fevours
It shocks and shakes to figure out how
we behave after having such a serene way
of living together then as tots we forget everything and start going against
one another ,its high time we need to scale up above this mediocre mindset and
stop judging people from the line of their tribes but conduct of there character.Let
us live our National Anthem”may we dwell in unity peace and liberty”
Great message there!
